I've never trusted red high lights because they fade really fast and sometimes they come out looking orange and just nasty...

I wouldnt do it, but lightish brown hair with black high lights would look really nice.

I like it... i did that once before and i have dark brown hair, it looked really nice... although i did put in blonde hi-lites as well, so maybe that can be an idea for you
