Its a sad day in Mudville. Hair dye is worse the wood stain. First soap and water, then if you have nail polish remover try that. Now this is an old trick my hairdresser use on my forehead but it might work on your chair, ASH. He used cigarette ash and it worked. Good luck, that's a toughy!

just a suggestion...i'm not positive this will work

it will depend on whether the chair is finished with some kind of varnish or protective coating

if not and the haircolour product has not already penetrated the wood and stained it than you can get a colour remover at a beauty supply shop such as Sally's

it works on most accidental spills but i don't know about wood

This is tricky b/c any solvent product will remove the hair dye, but may also remove the stain and finish off the wood. Try the mayonaise and ash trick. I swear, I've been told it works! You mix cigar ashes with mayonaise and spread it on the area, let it soak for 1/2 hour, and scrub away.
