I used those at home care products to dye my hair last year and even though I used the same one always it turned my hair color red and slowly but surely I have gotten back to how it's supposed to be but it still has a tint of red in it. Any idea how to get it to dark ash blond?

If you want to get rid of the red, you need to use the color that will cancel it out. That would be green. Be careful when doing this because if you use to dark of a green (such as a dark ash brown on lighter hair) you might over do it and have a green tint.

do not put green on your hair!! what is that advice?? use a red gold corrector from sally's. it works really well. if you still cant get it out, use some effasol by l'oreal to remove all the color from your hair and re-dye with the brown you want.

Your best bet is to go to a salon so they can bleach you then put the toner on to turn you dark blonde. Dont try it at home, the products for at home use to bleach are much more hasher to your hair then the salon.

dont mess around with this stuff, you will fry your hair off. just go to a salon and get it fixed, it wont cost more than $75.

You can counteract the red by adding an ash color next time (if you normally get medium brown also get medium or light ash brown and mix them). The green tint to the ash will reduce the red. Also, Loreal puts out a product, can't remember the name but it comes in a small white box (with a bottle in it) and half of the box is a light brown/rust color, that you add to your color or use alone with the developer (real directions on the box) that does a great job of getting rid of the red. Sorry-looked on the Loreal website with no luck finding the name but you will find it wherever you buy your hair color. Good luck!
