I am middle aged, brown hair and brown eyes, olive complexion. What colors should I wear?

IF YOU HAVE LIGHT BROWN HAIR / ANY BROWN HAIR WITH AUBURN HIGHLIGHTS:

Choose clothing in soft earth tones. Look for browns, yellow-based greens, oranges, peaches and light camels.

Avoid clothing shades of grays, navys, taupes and pinks, which can make you look lifeless. Wear black for pants or skirts only.

IF YOU HAVE GOLDEN BROWN HAIR:

Choose clothes in shades of ivory, apricot, tans, beige, medium browns, violet blues and golden yellows. Marine blue and warm grays will also work well for you.

Avoid the colors black and wine (burgundy), as they will make you look drawn out.

IF YOU HAVE DARK BROWN HAIR:

Choose bright colors of clothing. Look for vivid primary colors including blue reds, royal blues, emerald greens and lemon yellows. You'll look dynamite in black and white

Hope this helps :) .

You should go to a style consultant. I bought a visit to one for my mum (she's 56) and she was really impressed. It's a little bit expensive, but mum said it's totally worth it. She often wears black, and when she went to this consultant, she put different coloured scarves over her shoulders and mum said you could see her eyes lose their brightness when she had black near her face. She also told mum what styles and fabrics flatter her shape and what colour to have her hair. Go on, treat yourself! (Or even better, get someone else to treat you!)

you're lucky, any color except for orange and yellow would probably look great on you.... why don't you go to MAC and ask them to give you a makeup session so that you get an idea of what looks good on you.... you usually just have to buy like $30 of product and they do your makeup and teach you....also, start buying fashion mags like InStyle or Elle....they have great ideas for fashion..
