It more than likely will come out a bit orange. It's extremely hard for brunettes to go right to blonde, without bleaching out the brunette underneath. Unless you have very light brown hair. That's the only color brown that will go blonde easily. Medium and dark browns, uh-uh! There is another way to go blonde without bleaching though. You just dye your hair every month a lighter color than the month before, till eventually you get into the blonde shades. Much easier on the hair. But it's not instant. You go slowly and it happens gradually. So if you've got medium brown hair, pick the lightest brown hair color first. Then next month, do dark golden blonde. The following month, do medium golden blonde. After that, light golden blonde. Do not do ash shades. Stay with gold tones, as brunettes will always have gold undertones. You could go to platinum or really light blondes once you get to the light golden phase. Why this works, is that you are dying hair that is lighter than the color you had before. So it naturally will accept the even lighter color you are trying to get it to go. But never dye dark brown hair with light blonde right away. It'll look awful! Or go to a good hairdresser, if you can't wait. But this works, and it looks awesome! No orange ever! You will eventually look like a natural blonde and you don't have to go through the highly damaging bleaching process that can take the life out of the hair. I'd be more cautious going blonde. Go slowly and carefully, and you'll get there eventually, with no damage. Even those streaking kits, will bring out orange rather than blonde, for brunettes. To get blonde streaks for brunettes, you've got to bleach first. There's no other way for instant blonde for brunettes! Good luck!

It depends on what shade of brown your hair is...if its a dark brown (like mine) and you want to lift it to blonde...it takes several processes for it finally to come out the pretty blonde color youre looking for. I get my hair foiled with blonde so when I got it done at first, yes the streaks were a tad bit brassy....I would be careful trying it over the counter...cuz then your hair will be this weird orangeish yellow color =( sorry!!

well if your hair is dark brown you would have to bleach your hair 1st then put the blonde dye in but if you have a light color brown al you would have to do is put the dye on but if you have dark brown hair and you dont want to blech it you would need to get the lightest color blonde there is since ur hair is dark brown you will not have to worry about it comming out really light :)

yes, but it's going to be better if you get it done professionally. bcuz most of the do it yourself hair dyes can damage your hair or not be strong enough for the color to last or makes your hair look like you layed your head on a flat surfice and let your 7 year old niece do it with brown crayola markers.

you can use the loreal feria, (the bleach blond with the cute guy on the box) i dye my own hair all the time and its never turned orange.
