I have olive skin as well, and I wouldn't risk it. I had mildly blond highlights and it looked really bohemian and unnatural. I would only go a shade or two lighter than your eyebrows.

make sure you dont do it yourself; for a major change, go to a hair salon...ive seen my share of hair disasters from do it yourself jobs :)

Dont go blonde. Do a shade darker than your skin color. Or do blonde highlights. Don't go all the way blonde though.

I would recommend going to a beauty supply store rather than considering a "box job". That way, you can get a stronger developer (I'd say a 40 VOL....). (Developer is mixed with the bleach and that is the way you can decide the strength when you mix it yourself.) The right shampoo %26amp; conditioner to keep the brass/oranges out will also be sold there. Certainly ask their opinion since they know their stuff, and will be able to see your hair for themselves and make the proper recomendations.

I have olive skin and going blond would not be a good thing maybe only highlights of a golden blond

depending on if you are dark or light olive skin you could go dark brown, lighter brown or auburn and have it still look pretty natural

You'd have to use a double process to first lift the color, and a toner to bring it to your desired shade. You might want to have a colorist do it because it's difficult and you want to make sure you get the right shade of toner that will complement your skintone.

Also, remember that you'll need to touch up the roots every 3 or 4 weeks.

It would better to get some blond highlights and lowlights. The upkeep would be easier, and it's also a very classy look,
